Dan Lynch, CAS, BRI-1, LADC-1
With more than 20 years of experience in the field of addiction, Dan Lynch, CAS, BRI-1, LADC-1, launched the Lynch Wellness and Recovery Foundation in 2010. With a reputation for results and relentless enthusiasm working with those in recovery, Dan’s extraordinary success rate is largely attributed to his balanced and comprehensive approach to treating both the causes and effects of substance abuse. Dan is currently the Regional Vice President for Caron Boston, the regional office for this nationally recognized provider of alcohol and drug addiction treatment. In his role as President of Lynch Wellness and Recovery Foundation Danny uses his reach and ability to offer advocacy to those with substance use disorders and their families.

A Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS), Board Registered Interventionist (BRI-1), and a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC-1), Dan is a member of the Association of Intervention Specialists (AIS), South Shore Coalition of Independent Therapists, American Academy of Health Care Providers in Addictive Disorders, and The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Public Health Bureau of Substance Abuse Services. Dan is also an accomplished vocalist and guitarist. His latest single, “Stay in the Love,” inspired by a close friend who opened a sober living home, is currently available for purchase on I-tunes or CD with all proceeds benefiting LWRF.

Sarah Allen Benton, MS, LMHC
Sarah is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and works both in private practice at Lynch Wellness as well as at McLean Hospital in “The McLean Residence at The Brook” transitional living program for substance abuse and dual diagnosis treatment in Waltham, Massachusetts. Sarah is author of the book “Understanding the High-Functioning Alcoholic: Professional Views and Personal Insights” and has been featured in a NY Times article by Jane Brody, has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, CBS Early Show, NPR, is a blogger for PsychologyToday.com and more. She is currently the vice-president of the Obsessive-Compulsive Foundation of Greater Boston. Sarah worked previously as a therapist at Emmanuel College in Boston where she was the leader of the Alcohol Skills Training Program directed toward helping college-age problem drinkers. In addition, she has given lectures and trainings on the topic of high-functioning alcoholics at colleges including Harvard, boarding schools such as The Taft School as well as alcohol treatment facilities such as Foundations Recovery Network and conferences such as Harvard’s Treating the Addictions.

In 2003, Sarah received a Master of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston. Before Sarah’s counseling career, she earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication and produced television segments in top markets including The Disney Channel in Burbank, California; CBS affiliate KCNC-TV in Denver, Colorado; and NBC affiliate, WHDH-TV in Boston.

James Edward Bailey M.Ed., LMHC, CADAC II
Jim is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor who is a new addition at Lynch Wellness. Jim works in private practice at Lynch Wellness running groups for early recovery, as well as seeing clients. Jim also runs his own practice All Addictions Counseling in Whitman. Jim is a graduate of University of Massachusetts at Boston and earned his Masters of Education (w/specialization in Addictions) at Cambridge College. Jim spent several years at High Point Treatment Center in Plymouth working on a Dual Diagnosis Unit. He has also worked on the CSS Unit and Outpatient Unit, all as a lead clinician. A successful business owner, Jim began working in the field at the Men’s Addiction Treatment Center in Brockton. Jim has experience in all phases of addiction treatment including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and after care. Jim has run Early Recovery Groups as well as Family Groups. Besides Jim’s experience with dual diagnosed (usually mood disorder coupled with poly-substance dependence) he has completed his thesis entitled “The Impact of the Internet on the Progression of Sexual Addiction” and is recognized locally as an expert on sexually compulsive disorders. Jim is a member of the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association (MAMHCA), The Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH), and the South Shore Coalition of Independent Therapists (SSCIT).
